Will Parker

It was the voice, first and foremost, that made him a viral star. As a teenager, he was working on a building site with his dad, who posted a TikTok with the caption: “POV: your apprentice can sing.” In the clip, Parker, still clutching a power drill, is perched atop a ladder as he belts out a spine-tingling cover of Teddy Swims’ ‘Lose Control’. You half-expect the power of his voice to knock down the wall he was drilling. Will had alreadyenjoyed some viral success thanks to his covers, but with almost three million views, this is the one that really captured the public’s attention.

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter has now released his debut body of work - the stunning Same Old Paradise EP. A deeply personal and evocative collection of debut songs, the EP is rooted in identity, home and the emotional complexities of growing up in a small industrial town. Inspired by his experiences in Scunthorpe, the EP captures both Parker’s affection for his hometown and his desire to push beyond its limitations, with each track exploring a different facet of that journey.
